"The Kashmir Files" is inspired by true events and revolves around the Kashmir Valley's exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the early 1990s. The film follows the story of Krishna Pandit (played by Anupam Kher), a retired IPS officer who files an RTI to uncover the truth behind the exodus. As he digs deeper, he discovers a web of lies, corruption, and terrorism that led to the forced migration of thousands of Kashmiri Pandits.
