As with most Ullu Originals, Woodpecker includes intimate scenes that service the plot—or at least attempt to. In Part 2, these sequences are used less for titillation and more for character study. A specific scene involving a mirror and a confrontation is widely regarded by fans as the best-acted sequence in the entire 2020 lineup. It shifts the genre from erotic thriller to psychological horror.

The protagonist, often caught between a demanding spouse and a seductive outsider, finds himself pecking away at a secret that could destroy his family. Part 1 ended on a classic Ullu cliffhanger: the protagonist was trapped, the "other woman" revealed her true colors, and the woodpecker's rhythm became a ticking time bomb.
