E2 SP3 is not intuitive. Unlike modern "drag-and-drop" consumer apps, Wilcom uses a modal interface. You must understand thread tension, pull compensation, stitch angles, and underlay types to use it effectively. However, once mastered, the keyboard shortcuts (dominated by the Ctrl + Shift + Alt combos) allow a skilled digitizer to produce a complex cap design in under 10 minutes.
One of the crown jewels of E2 is the PhotoStitch module. SP3 improved the color separation for thread palettes. It now handles gradients (e.g., a sunset logo) with far less banding, converting raster images into thread-by-thread "needle paintings" that look shockingly realistic. WILCOM EMBROIDERY STUDIO E2 sp3
