Born into a poor family in 1950, Ilayaraja's early life was marked by struggles and hardships. However, his innate talent and passion for music propelled him to pursue a career in the arts. Beginning as a guitarist and keyboard player, Ilayaraja soon transitioned into music composition, making his debut in the Tamil film industry with the movie "Annakkiliyae" (1986). Little did the world know that this marked the beginning of an illustrious journey that would see him become the "Mozart of South India."
