iOS does not support APK files. If you have updated YouTube, you are generally stuck with it. Unlike Android, you cannot "uninstall updates" on a system app; you can only delete the app entirely.

For the , the path is harder. You may spend hours finding a specific APK version from 2019, only to find that it crashes every time you try to watch a 4K video or a livestream. In most cases, mobile users are better off embracing third-party clients (like ReVanced on Android) or using the browser version to escape the bloat of the modern app, rather than trying to resurrect a digital ghost from the past.

If you simply miss the on your computer, install the YouTube Redux browser extension. If you’re on Android , grab an APK from APKMirror (version 14.x to 16.x for the 2018–2020 feel). Avoid any site asking for your Google password or offering “YouTube Old Version Installer.exe” – those are malware.
